what is it?
Although the DWLO Multicultural project concluded in May 2025, two valuable resources continue to be available to support people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds working or residing in the Granite Belt region.
- Multilingual road safety resources- A collection of booklets and videos available in languages other than English, designed to improve understanding or Queensland road rules and safe driving practices.
- Driving awareness training - Access to a dedicated driving simulator that provides a safe and interactive environment for individuals to build driving knowledge, develop confidence, and gain experience relevant to rural and remote driving conditions.
These ongoing resources continue to support road safety, community participation, and greater independence for members of the local CALD community.
