what is it?
DWLO Multicultural project, was funded from August 2024 until May 2025. It was designed to help people from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background working or residing in the Granite Belt region to understand Queensland road rules and gain appropriate driving skills suited to a rural and remote setting and even attain their drivers licence.
The goals were to create safer drivers, help to improve their confidence, facilitate gaining employment, engage in community sporting and social opportunities, break down discrimination and barriers to participation and create greater community inclusion.
